Ahhh that really sucks because I think that would be a great addition to the site.

You can adapt a picture to your sig by right clicking a picture and go to properties. Then copy the URL code. Paste it in your signature and then put the following in front: <img src"= and "> behind it.

Plus we don't want to turn this into PSD where it's all flash and absolutley no substance.

Well said.. I have them deactivated at my forum as well.. I think too many pics and long sigs. take away from the main purpose of the site and just clog up space...

Please don't encourage them.
Sometimes I just feel like zapping every single pic I see in a sig. Then there's the 10-line sig lines in regular-sized text, no "small" size being used.
To me, it's a baseball forum, not a "look at me" forum like it's prom night or this is the Photoshop forum. Basically, if you have something to say, then post it. People are here to talk about baseball, not compliment each other on their sigs. Sometimes I just wonder if it's nothing more than a creativity contest out there.

In some way you are right. Sometimes you see very big pictures in a sig. I have kept mine as small as possible because you have asked me to do so because of people with bandwith problems. But on the other hand; there is nothing wrong with some creativity. I like to make a moving av. Just because it's fun. (I know, I am a big kid ;) ).

Are you referring to what the site can do to disable sig pics, or what I personally can do so that I don't see sig pics?
I'm not familiar with the options for this version of vb software, so I can't say how easy this is. I have seen others include photos (usually not too tall) into their sigs. If they become excessively large, I've PM'd forumers to reduce the size.
As to myself, since I'm a Mod here, I like to read what people have in their sig lines. If I see something objectionable, I'd like to know what they're posting. I'd liken this to keeping one's windshield very clean to see what's going on with the traffic.

Right now the "Allow [img] Code in Signatures": is set to "No".
However, apparently the "Allow HTML in Signatures" is set to "Yes". This is why some people are able to have a image signature in their signature (they are using the <a href> tag in the signature block.
To completly disallow image signatures all you have to do is this:
vBulletin Options > User prolie options > Allow [img] code in Signatures (this should be marked "NO") > Allow HTML in Signaurtes (This should be marked "NO")
There it is. If the admin of the borad does not what images in the signartues all they have to do is click "No" on those two options in the User Proile section of the AdminCP and they will be gone!
Hope that helps.
