Anyone going to the Match de Celebrites (sorry, don't have French keyboard).
The Celebrities game at Jarry Park on June 18 at 6:30 PM?
I'm going with my family, there are still over 1000 tickets left.
Can't miss up on a chance to go to Jarry for a ball game and see Steve Rogers, Andre Dawson, Vincent Damphousse and lost of others compete!
Tickets are $25 you can bu them at admission.com (or net) or call 514-790-1245. First come, first serve, you choose your seats.
Hope to see y'all there!:atthepc

It's 25$ but remember, if you buy on Admission you have to add the service charges.
Little expensive for my taste, 72$ for a softball game :D

Remember the famous lines in the Simpsons, I believe it was the Hollabalooza episode:
Mr. Burns: And you laughed Smithers when I bought Ticketmaster. "No one will be willing to pay 100% service charge".
Smithers: It ensures an healthy mix of the rich and the ignorant, sir.

Thank god I have Buffalo close by if I want to see a concert.
I don't usually go in for those elitist Canadian events anyways.

And you can also enjoy all the sights and sounds of Buffalo, the 11th wonder of the world...
I'm always shocked to see just how incredibly expensive shows are these days. Rob Thomas (the guy who sang "smooth" with Santana a couple of years back) had a show in Halifax not so long ago. The cheapest tickets were 40$. I mean, you got to love "Smooth" quite a bit to pay 40 bucks to go hear that guy. And if you go see an actual artist, I don't even want to know how much it'll cost.
In an unrelated story, there's something I don't quite understand about the calculation of the "views" of a thread. When I arrived on the board, this thread right here had 0 replies and 9 views. Now, RS53 and I have posted a total of 5 times since, but were still at 9 views, altough, we had to view the thread to reply to each other.
The things I don't understand could fill a wearhouse.

It only records you viewing it once.
I saw Micheal Buble here in Manila last October for $40 flat, which I thought was a pretty good price.
And that was one of the better seats. The best seats went for around $60.

Still, we should be at 11, no?
Well, for 40 bucks, you just hope the guy ain't got the flu, or some kind of food poisonning that night and just mails it in.
Is Manilla a popular stop for big time recording artists on their Asian tours? Do you get a lot of diversity as far as the performers who stop in the archipelago is concerned?

I wouldn't call it a huge stop, but we get some pretty good shows from time to time.
The nostalic bands are big here.
I saw The Zombies not to long ago.

I agree with you on the ticket prices AG. I went to see the Australian Pink Floyd show at the Bell Centre, in December. Over 50 Bucks for a cover band?!? Atleast they did a good job. I just ordered Croby Stills Nash and Young tickets in Ottawa. Upperdeck Nose-Bleed tix cost 66 bucks.:hp
As to the views, I think that it counts you once per visit. So once you leave BF for a while and come back a few hours later, you add another view. The reason I think it's like this is because the Mod board has some threads with hundreds of views, and there aren't hundreds of mods.

I've never been to Jarry Park so I don't know how it's set up these days, but isn't it now Stade Uniprix? And isn't it set up for Tennis? Is the Baseball game going to be held on a regular recreational diamond in the actual park?
Wilks I'd love to see some Pictures if you manage to bring a digital camera with you. I'm as interested in the setup as I am in the players and the game itself.

Hopefully we can get a first hand account of the action. They have a picture of Warren Cormartie in this morning's La Presse, Warren isn't quite in the kind of shape he use to be...
