Can Phat Albert pull off a high enough batting average for the TC this year?

If he keeps his average up, then it is very possible.

I think the possibility is very real. He is probably going to lead the league in Homers and RBI's. The only question is can he lead in batting average. Right now he is 11th in standings in batting average and he will probably rise in those standings. It will all depend on on how he is down the stretch.

There is a chance he could, but don't go betting the ranch on it.

I hope we win the WS to, but it's going to be a much more closer race for NL Central then last year, but everyone knows that.

True, but probably not this year as he is on the DL (for a long strech, I'm afraid).
Now, can the Cards suck it up and stay in the hunt without the Phat man?:hp

While Pujols is having an awesome year, I highly doubt that pujols will win the triple crown. Further on, I highly doubt anyone will win the triple crown for a long time because competitive balance is so high that it is much harder to pull off this feat.

a triple crown is a lot to ask of a guy but pujuls has the best chance of the currant generation of players. i do think he will retire having won all three parts of the crown, just not in the same year. he's already lead the league in hitting, looks like he'll win the home run crown this year, and has never finished out of the top five in rbi. that makes for a good trivia question: how many players have won a BA, HR, and RBI title but never won a triple crown?
