2 Giant fans were interested in buying a ballclub. So they called their friend JHohn McGraw to find out if his bosses were interested in selling. Do you know who these men were and the suggestion McGraw made that you could say he later regretted.

No. Rothstein , to my knowledge, was never interested in buying a club, unless you count buying off players to throw games.
Hint: They bought another club.

McGraw made a recommendation that the two men, Jake Ruppert and Cap Huston, buy the Yankees.

I think the way McGraw put it went something like this," I don't think the Giants owners want to sell, but I hear the Yankees may be available. Why don't you call them." And of course they did.
