First Delmon, now Dmitri... are his days as a Tiger numbered now?

Hard to say what really happened, so who knows?

I don't think Leyland was all that fond of Dmitri in the first place. Now this? Yeah, he's probably gone. This could be a similar situation to Bobby Higginson's, financially-speaking. Da Meat Choke makes a lot of money, and isn't producing enough for teams to want to trade for him. We may have to eat his contract. I'd be shocked to see Young on the roster for next season.

This looks like a tempest in a teapot. If the Tigers move Young it will be because of a lack of production, not citizenship.

I thouht his contract was up at the end of the year? I can't think of a team that needs him even if most of his contract was absorbed duing a trade. He's a switch itter who can play multiple positions IF he's healthy. But, noone wants trouble either. I propose we absorb their contracts and trade him to Tampa Bay w/ Todd Jones and take a chance on Josh Hamilon.

Who gives a flying rip about DY. We are doing just fine without him. Having him come back now could quite possibly just hurt the Tigers.

I concur...his numbers were down..before he got hurt..and the ongoing
legal troubles..Add to the mix, Leyland was't too fond of him..tis' a shame,
as when he's right, Young can hit....and more...but to bring him back,
might alter the clubhouse..etc.....recent interview by Pizza Mike, didn't
bod too well for Dmitri...

sent him back to the REDS.....

then again, if he can get himself together..he could really help this club.

I remember Dmitre coming up with the Cardinals. I thought he was going to be a player to watch then. Then, the Cards brought Mark MGuire from the A's and Dmitre was shipped off to the Reds. During Dennis Rodman's peak, Dmitre was roaming the Cincinnati RF with bleached hair. Probably the worst franchise to act like that. Then, he's traded for Juan Encarnacion, a player the Tigers are tired of his lack of hustle, to the worst team in the history of the game. Then, he's a posative influence. Who remembers his "inge, Inge, Inge..." interview? Now, the question is "What will he do to the chemistry of this new, outstanding team"? In the end, this a Tiger Management decision and we have to have faith it will be about the Tigers and not about Dmitre. Really, guys, noone is treating him badly. There's so many more responsiilities when you make $8M/yr
