Delwyn Young is someone who I would love to see at Dodger Staduim by the end of the year. He is a local kid born in LA went to high school in the Antelope Valley and attended Santa Barbara City College. He can play all three outfield spots and the middle infield. A perfect player for a National League bench

From the Vero Beach Website
Of all the names on the Dodgers 2006 roster, Blake DeWitt's may elicit the most excitement from Vero Beach fans. Not because he is a former 1st Round Draft Pick and not because he is listed at one of LA's Top 10 Prospects. Blake earned his buzz by hitting one of the most memorable home runs in the history of the franchise after a late-season callup last September.
DeWitt spent of the majority of the year with the Low-A Columbus Catfish of the South Atlantic League. While holding down third base, he batted .283 with 11 HR and 31 doubles. It was a solid enough performance to earn him a callup to Vero Beach for the season's final eight games.
The promotion must have re-energized the then-20 year-old as he hit a cool .419 against the High-A Florida State League. That would have been enough to have the fans in Vero eagerly anticipating his name on the 2006 club. Yet Blake wasn't done yet.
Vero Beach won the First Half of the 2005 season, so they had home field advantage in the Best-of-Three playoff series with the Palm Beach Cardinals. The Dodgers dropped the first game on the road, then returned home. Palm Beach scratched out a run in the middle of game and took a 1-0 lead into the ninth inning. With two men on and two outs, DeWitt came to the plate against the league leader in saves, Mark Worrell. The young DeWitt work the count full and after fouling off a pitch, launched a walk-off home run to give the Dodgers a 3-1 victory and prolong the season.
This year DeWitt is learning a new position, 2nd Base. Though the fans remember him for his bat, Blake already wowed them with his glove this year when took away a bloop single by diving with his back to home into right field to make a catch. It was just one more reason for the fans in Vero to smile when they read his name on the lineup board.

Tony Abreu-2B 5-11 165 lbs Left Handed Hitter 21 Years Old
In Double A
266 AVG 341 OBP 2 HR 65 Total Bases
From Last Year
The 5'11" Tony Abreu has been swinging a big bat for the Vero Beach Dodgers. Not only did he represent Vero Beach in the Florida State League All Star Game this year, but he has anchored the middle of the Dodgers infield. Abreu has drawn special attention recently for his incredible month of June, during which he batted .453. Tony went hitless in only two games during the month of June, stringing together hitting streaks of 12 and 10 games.
Tony Abreu hails from Puerto Plata in the Domincan Republic and success is nothing new to him. He batted .302 for Columbus last year before finishing the last two weeks of the season in Vero. The promotion didn't slow him down a bit, as he recorded at least one hit in 10 of the 11 games he played. In fact, Abreu posted a .419 batting average after his callup with four stolen bases in 11 games.
That success coupled with his relatively young age (he's still just 20) prompted Baseball America to tab him as the 21st prospect in the Dodgers organization. He continues to shine alongside shortstop Chin-lung Hu, his teammate in Columbus last year. With those two so clearly comfortable with each other, Abreu has topped the Florida State League Second Baseman in Fielding Percentage.
