Juan Pierre has now gone 33 consecutive games without an RBI. He has 2 for the season putting him well on pace to break the record for fewest RBI's(Rath 19) in a season by a player playing 150 games.
Does anybody know the record for consecutive games without an rbi by a nonpitcher who starts the game?

Using different minimum requirements, Enzo Hernandez had only 12 RBI's for the '71 Padres in 549 AB's, 143 G.
If Enzo's RBI's were evenly distributed, he'd go about 12 games between RBI's... but obviously there must have been bigger gaps than that.
I think checking Padres box scores from 1971 would find you your culprit - and I suspect it could be as much as 35 to 40 games between RBI's. So Juan Pierre might already hold the record, or be very close to it.
Pitchers wouldn't count, I assume, in this stat.

This wasn't a qualifying record (150 games) but a few years back Luis Castillo had 17 rbi in 136 games. Who knows what could have happened had he played in 150. It's still a pretty futile number.

I did come across a few others:
In 1969 Jose Arcia went 64 games (33 starts) without an RBI
In 1974 Luis Gomez went 58 games (37 starts) without an RBI
In 1984 Wayne Tolleson went 46 games (41 starts) without an RBI

Well Pierre has now hit 42 consecutive starts without an RBI, 187 PA and 174 ab's.
Does anybody know the ab and pa record for a non-pitcher?
