In the very first month of joining my team, I took over the franchise's Career HR record and have never looked back. I have always , always held the franchise's career HR record since then. Who am I?

I'm a little confused. Would previous home runs count towards this total?

It's either Babe Ruth or someone who played for an expansion franchise.

Could be Nate Colbert of the Padres.

Could be Roger Connor of the Troy Trojans.

Would be Nate Colbert of the Padres! Who's the only other player to ever have been the Pad's career HR leader?

Would be Nate Colbert of the Padres! Who's the only other player to ever have been the Pad's career HR leader?Ed Spiezio hit the Padres first homer on 4/8/69 so he was the franchise leader until Ollie Brown tied him on 4/10/69 and took over the lead on 4/19/69. Nate Colbert tied Brown on 4/28/69 and passed on on 4/30/69. Colbert has been the franchise leader ever since except in late August '69 when Brown reclaimed the top spot for a brief period.

I agree with Wamby. Don Mincher of the Seattle Pilots with 25.

The Pilots became the Brewers, and, since the question is directed to "franchises", I don't think Mincher's claim holds up.

Ollie Brown was the one I was looking for..........He had to keep quiet at the dinner table, while his brother was the one talking about records and stats.

I disagree. the Brewers are the same franchise as the Pilots. Also, The Orioles are the same franchise as the St. Louis Browns and the Twins and Rangers are the same franchises as the Two Washington Senators' teams. Doe you realize the Nationals could not take the name Senators because the Rangers own that name.
