I just had to post this story. Kendall dropped his appeal for the suspension he was hit with after charging Lackey.
Does he have another fine coming his way now?

Not for those comments. He didn't criticize the umpiring, just the league's punishment for the offense.

If everyone who is the victim of trash talking charged the mound we'd see more brawling than baseball. Hell, the ball wasn't even that close to him, yet he bails out. Lackey calls him on it, as well as his elbow armour, and he runs at him. What a pathetic nancy-boy.
Baseball may BE a badminton league. And he's the poster boy. Sheesh....

Kendall is one of Beanes few mistakes... he is one of the most overated/overpaid players in the game at 12 million a year, Macha is forced to play him and if Melhuse was given the opportunity to get Kendalls at bats, his numbers would be much better in my opinion...there is no doubt he is a feisty player with good teamate repoire and handles a pitching staff well,( and we will have the stat freaks here tell us what a great hitter he is with runners in scoring position) (which is crap)..... but I thought he seemed like a much better player in Pittsburgh, ...I think Billy Beane did too...I'd rather have a Sal Fasano/ Melhuse platoon :clapping
Melhuse has homered in each of the first two games of Kendall's suspension. Lookin' good!

Yep, looking good. The last time an A's catcher homered in a regular season game (before Adam's first this year) was back in 2004.
