All the leagues in organized baseball will honor the suspension. It was interesting to hear some of the things Delmon's brother Dimitri, had to say about the suspension. He feels Delmons being picked on unfairly and the punishment is to harsh.

Now you know where he gets his attitude from...He's been telling his baby brother he's a star since the kid was in Little League. Dmitri was also suspended in 1994, I believe, for going into the stands in the minors after a heckling fan. Acorns don't fall too far from the tree :grouchy

Lets hope Delmon doesn't wind up looking like Dimitri. If he does the Rays are really in trouble.

Well the Rays are really treating him and upton like crap. The rays have no shot at contending this year no chance in making anything happen no one to compete with their talents in their positions. Noone is going to develop into what they will become. They should've been in the majors getting accustomed to it. Man i would love to see delmon or Bj request a trade because right now this organization is doing nothing besides treat them like crap.

Make them earn their way to the major leagues rather than have it handed to them before they are mature enough to handle it. The Rays have gotten criticized in the past for rushing kids to the majors, then they feel a sense of entitlement. Other more established teams develop their minor leaguers and don't bring them up before hand. Why bring up kids now and then lose them in 6 years when their free agency kicks in? It's not like we're contenders and these guys can push us over the top. When they are ready, they'll be here. Young in particular has a lot to learn, especially about life and how to treat poeple.

First of all the Rays made both of them millionaires, thats certainly not treating them like crap. Delmon has shown that he is not mature enough to play in the majors yet. BJ has shown that he can't play shortstop and is too stobborn to admit it and allow the team to change his position. Had upton been willing to switch positions, he would already be with the Rays.I guess you would have rather seen Young throw his bat at a major league ump rather then a minor league ump.Once both of these young talented players show they are mature enough, they will be playing in the majors.
