Has anyone read the book by Steve Sullivan called Talking Baseball Amongst Friends?
I recently purchased it at the Swing of the Quad Cities(midwest league) game last night. Steve was doing a book signing and the books were originally $16.95 but I only had 10 dollars left at the end of the game. I told him I would buy it in the bookstore and he said he would sell it to me for $10. He signed it gave it to me. He is a great guy huh. Not many people would do something like that.
Anyway, Steve went around the league interviewing players, coaches, and broadcasters past and present about why they love baseball. They tell stories about their past that are really interesting. I have only read the first 8 stories but there must be almost 100 different stories about baseball in the book. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves baseball, which is everyone on this site.
