One of the biggest beneficiaries of the Senators' move might have been harmon Killebrew - or was it?
It tended to have a good numbermore home runs at home versus on the road - except for 1962 adn 1970, big homer years for him in which he did much better on the road than at home. Of course, that's not his only big stat, but it's what got him into the Hall for the most part. (Though it's interesting, 1961-1965 his batting average is higher on the road, according to Retrosheet - so maybe he would have adjusted.)
OTOH, he managed to his plenty of dingers in Griffith Stadium his first few years, and it was big. Perhaps the Senators - if they stay or move elsewhere - would have tailored the park to take advantage of him? Or, perhaps he just his so many bombs that it didn't really matter. i remember reading that some of his were real monster shots. (Was it him about whom it was said, "He could hit one out of Yellowstone?" I think it was.)
