Record:10-0:gt Favorite baseball team ever. We won 8 of the 10 reagular season games games in the last innings or by 1-2 runs. We were not the best team in the league We went 2-0 in the playoffs and the final game ended because of an interfernce. Let me tell it.
2 outs bases loaded, bottom of ninth, they are down one run, I'm playing shortstop. 3rd hitter(Colin) hits a double. There 4th hitter is up, a kid named Ryan, very big. He hits a long fly ball......the opposing team starts running out onto the field...and it curves foul by 5ft at most...hits my moms car:ughh ... Would have been a walk off home run. Next pitch is hit a mile high to the 3rd basemen...Colin pushes our 3rd basemen out of the way and he misses it. Ump calls it 3rd out due to interfernce. Eah-Yah!

Yeah, oh well. I loved baseball. Was a good all around player, could play almost any position. Haven't played on a team in 5 years probably. Never made it to a high school team.

Team: Tacoma Aroma
League: Men's Adult League Hardball
Age: 18+ (I'm 24)
Jersey: 50 (lack of choices - would have liked 7 or 77)
Team Record: 1-17
First year teams in this league always get dominated, so I hear. We were a first year team, and we didn't get our first win until the last double-header of the season, an 8-4 victory. Then we were blown out, bigtime, in the second game.
My stats are pretty terrible, and mostly unknown (didn't keep track), I only had three hits in 9 games, walked once or twice a game, got HBP a few times, K'd only 4 or 5 times (twice lefty - twice or thrice righty) - mostly I grounded out, walked, got hit by a pitch, or reached on errors or fielder's choices.
This was my first season as a full-time switch hitter, and my first season of hardball in three years.

Team: The Stags
League: South Netherlands 5 division G. (age 18+, I am 39).
Record: Games played 15, won 4, tied 2, lost 9
Position: Left field. (used to play catcher in my younger days).
Jersey number: 9 (I wore this number when I started playing baseball, so I chose to keep it).
I don't know my own stats, but at least I managed to get more base hits than last year. Last year really sucked for me...:D
We have had a bad season, but finally we are winning some games. At least we play more regular. Not one very good inning and a very bad one in which we lose it. We play more steady the whole game and can hold a small lead as well. Looks promising for next year.
Anyhow, I am not the best player and my team isn't the best, but I still enjoy to play this game. I bet I will still play this game when I am really old and in a wheel chair. :D

Ok... well not on Louisville's team currently due to being at a community college... but am working out with them and will be practicing since my community college is connected with their programs in everything... Unlikely to change unless I get a scholarship offer from a school, if not I'll most likely be walking on for the 2008 season

Dear baseball_in_hel*
Congratulations, and ask your parents to track your pitch counts.
At your age, the reccommended max is 75 pitches per game, and 100 in any seven consecutive days. With your 18 innings in one tournament, unless you are unusually efficient (e.g., you get the side out with 6 pitches every inning), and given your age (growth plates still growing), combined with being a catcher or SS the rest of the time (lots of throws), and combined with your ability (I'm willing to bet you are one of the better pitchers on your team so you pitch a lot), you are exactly the kind of kid who CAN (not WILL) get long-term arm injuries. If you are also throwing more than 20-25% breaking balls, your risk factors go up. If you do not have good mechanics, your risk factors go up even more. Please be careful. This is a very real potential problem that should be managed to give you the best chance to keep pitching. I encourage you to show this to your parents. If they have any questions or comments, whether they agree with me or not, they are welcome to reply and/or private message me.

It amazes me how kids throw breaking balls at such young ages now.... I did not actually throw a breaking ball until junior year of high school...
