2.Which franchise has the most world series apperances without a series win?

Are you asking for the most without ever winning one, or the most times getiing to the WS and losing. If the most getting to the WS and losing, I'd say the Dodgers

The only teams in baseball right now without a WS win are the D-Rays, Rangers, Mariners, Nationals, Astros, Brewers, Rockies, and Padres. Of these teams, the Padres are the only team to go twice, so I'd guess them.

Astros fan is correct with the Padres. The only franchies to go to the world series twice and come away with nothing.
Brooklyn, I'm asking for whose gone to the world series, and they haven't won a series. LIke the Padres. They went to the world series twice, didn't not win the world series.
Now, who can try and come up with which TEAM, not FRANCHISE, has been there the most times and not won.
This team is currently active in the major leagues.

The San Francisco Giants have gone to the world series the most without winning a series, losing the series in 1962, 1989, and 2002.

In honor of the rivalry, I must post that the NY/SF Giants franchise has also lost 12 World Series', and has not won 1 since 1954.
