In a word: NO. The Cards are only one game back and they have the kind of quality and depth to be able to win ballgames in bunches.
That being said, I'd be happy to see you guys do well.

it seems that every year there's a dark horse team that comes out and plays well above their expected level. for now, in the nl, it's us. i don't honestly think we'll hold back st. louis, but if we could get enough breaks, and swing some mid-season deals for pitching help, the wild-card slot would not be out of reach. it's a given that griffey will spend half the season nursing injuries, but i think the line-up holds its own even without him. i just hope nobody else goes down with an injury, and maybe we can get some career-best years from a few of the starters. arroyo and harang are starting out on the right side of .500, and maybe williams can make the casey trade look a little less one-sided.

ha, it won't be the first time either. i'
ve broken up 3 no-hitters in the past year! i'll see that someone is pitching one on the box score, then i'll turn on the tv or get on mlb.com, and as soon as the the next guy gtes up, he'll get a single. i am very proud of this accoompishment

Man, I hope they can do it. I don't expect them to make the series, but man I'd love to see some post-season life for the Reds.

isn't that the glory of baseball! you can look at a team on paper and write them off in the pre-season, but they can still win!!!! and if they aren't winning in april, you can always say to yourself "it's 162 games, i don't have to worry!"
i just think baseball is so awesome!
