If things keep going the way they are....Are we going to set a MLB record for most solo homers in a season? 2 more today, and the games not over yet.

Rotten Twins pitching staff spoils our fun today... 3 of our 4 homers come with men on base. I doubt if, in the long run, the numbers will be too far off the historical averages.

I'm just happy that the Tigers are actually hitting home runs these days, doing some fine pitching, and winning some games.

Just out of curiosity, what is the record?

The Rangers hit 161 solo HRs in 2001...so far that seems to me to be the record? perhaps its just the Rangers record and not MLB record. If I come up with more I will edit this post.

A record I was curious about was whether a team has ever had this many decisions from their starting pitchers. Every game this month has seen the starting pitcher get the decision except one, a Jeremy Bonderman start that was won by Fernando Rodney. Does anybody know if this is unprecedented?
