The Brewers were named as one of the "deals" this week at the betting windows. Can they improve their play and prove them right?
Milwaukee: The Brewers have lost some of the excitement they generated in the first week of the season and are 9-10 entering the week. The Brewers got Ben Sheets back in the rotation, however, and he has been solid in his first two starts. They also continue to get good pitching from Chris Capuano and Doug Davis…
Last week's column turned out to be a home run if you followed the “deals” and “duds” recommendations. The “deals” included Detroit, which went 5-2 on the week, including five straight victories on the road as underdogs… The “duds” for the week were the Atlanta Braves, who rallied on Sunday night to finish 3-2 for the week and the Oakland A's. Playing against the A's for the week resulted in a profitable venture, as Oakland was just 2-4 in six home games…
