View Full Version : Farewell

Urgent family matters require my immediate time and attention and so, much to my regret, I must take a leave of absence from Baseball Fever.

The friendships made, and knowledge absorbed, here have made this place a "second home" to me on the Internet and I will take with me many fond memories and more than one smile-inducing reflection of this place.

If I should have the good fortune to return when this situation is settled, I will most assuredly enjoy doing so, but if this is my last post on the Fever, then I want you to know that I treasure your many friendships and am grateful for the many shared smiles and laughs.

God bless each and every one of you.

Brad

Godspeed to you, Brad. You have had my utmost respect since I first came to this site under the old format, and you will be greatly missed during your absence. Best wishes toward a strong resolution for the greater issues in life, and a deep hope to see you back here soon.

I too will miss Brad, not only for his valued contributions as a poster, but because he allowed me to enjoy the BBF HOF project without having to do some of the dirty work he did. I'm not willing to see the project die, so when he asked if I would be willing to take over the dirty work of running the project, I accepted, at least for the remainder of 2006. I'm going to have to post a new voting thread, and since I don't have moderator status, I'm going to have to get someone else to make it a "sticky" thread. I'm sure to have some difficulties in getting myself used to handling these responsibilities, so I ask for a little patience. I will ask that anyone who makes changes to their ballots PM me, because otherwise I may miss such changes.

Good luck Brad, and I wish you only the best!

--Brad, thanks for all the work put in on the BBF Hall of Fame and the pleasure of your company here at BBF. I hope your family issues are easily and happily resolved and we see you back soon.
--Jim, I'm glad Brad was able to find such capable hands to turn the BBF HoF over too. It would be a shame to see his project end prematurely. Thanks for being willing to assume all the work involved.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. We'll see how it goes, since I am rather sure that 2007 will be a difficult year for me in terms of spare time. But that's months away, and if I can't do it then, I'm hopeful we'll be able to find a solution then.

I too wish you the best, Brad, and hope you resolve these family issues. I hope we see you back here at BBF soon. You provide us great insights and do a great job running the BBFHOF.

I wish you good luck with whatever the matter is Brad. I thank you for starting the best project on Baseball-Fever. You took that that small idea and over the past 2 years you've expanded it into something I'm guessing you or the other original voters never though was going to last this long. You're one of the best posters on BBF who always provided a well-though out opinion, and I hope you'll return whenever you can.

I wish you the best of luck that the matter turns out all right in the end and that we eventually get to have your great opinions back on the board.

Geez... that's a tough reminder that things change and time waits for no one.

I've really enjoyed you being here Brad, like most of us... good lord, how long have we been on this site? :o Ah well.

I'm confident you'll be gracing our pathways again--see you then! :gt

Brad- Much like all the other posters, I would like to wish you the best of luck in dealing with your family situation. I am glad that you realize that baseball is second to real life, even so though, just as baseball is always there for you, so are your friends here at Baseball Fever. All my best to you, and remember that everything works out in the end. I look forward to your return. Sincerely, Sasha Gagarin
