If you were to say today, it would be Jason Varitek. In other decades, even before I was born when the Dodgers last won the WS. Here's who in the past few decades: 1990s - Ken Griffey, 1980s - Andre Dawson or Gary "Doctor/Candid" Carter, 1970s - Steve Carlton (even if he played for Philly), 1960s - Bob Gibson (struck out a lot--of batters) probably two R's: Frank and Brooks Robinson, and last we have 1950s - tough choice between Pee Wee Reese and Willie Mays. All time? Honus Wagner.

Ichiro Suzuki: I just can't say enough about this guy's talent. I think he's the best active ballplayer on the planet.

Luke Carlin: San Diego AAA catcher. Went to Northeastern. All Hail. For that matter, any NU alum not playing in the Yankees organization.

Coco Crisp: Part of a balanced outfield.

All time...
Roger Clemens (assuming that between 1998-Jan. 2004, Clemens had been trying a career in Canadian football).
