Edwin Jackson was recalled on Friday and made the start tonight against Texas. He continued the wildness he showed in Spring training. So far in two innings he has given up four runs and walked four.

Why hasn't this guy developed into the player he was forcasted into becomming. Was he or was he not a blue chip prospect? But with pitchers they gotta have control, if that wasn't the case, Mitch Williams would be a HOF reliever.

You have got to remember that he has come up very fast. Just 2 years ago he was in the Florida State League, and now he's in the major leagues. He was going up against one of the top offensive teams in the major leagues too, and held them to 3 hits. I like to look at the positives. If the Devil Rays were in a playoff chase it would be one thing, but right now it's more important to look for positives.

This guy has gone from phenom to phantom at warp speed. He's only 22 so he does have time to right the ship.

Wasnt it just two years ago he was going pitch for pitch against Randy Johnson, this guy can still be a star.

Hopefully the next time he comes up itwill be for good, and he will realize his potential.Right now the loss of Danys Baez is being felt with nothing yet in return
