my freshman baseball (high school) team had 19 kids on it...i was the third-string shortstop and third string third baseman (imo). 3 kids moved up to JV and left open spots in LF and an open pitching spot. I pitched from 1st - 8th grade but the coach never gave me a tryout at pitcher and this is my second chance to prove my worth. I told him i could pitch but i hadnt pitched in a while and i need pointers on getting back conditioned and fast.
Secondly, i was thinking about talking to my assistant coach and seeing where i am at as far as playing time, and what my weaknesses are/ what i need to improve on in order to get more playing time. Ive always been apprehensive about talking to coaches about this stuff because i feel they think i was being obnoxious...Anybody out there have advice on how to approach this and a perspective that is a little more clear than my fogged one...thnx again.
