I am really enjoying the Jays so far this year. I think the pitching will come around and they will be ok there, but I am quite concerned about shortstop.
They need less errors and more power from that crucial position in order to take the next step. Rios should also be the everyday right fielder.

There's some people saying the Jays need a more powerful shortstop and some saying we need a quicker lead-off type shortstop. I, on the other hand, think Russ Adams is just fine. His speed is average and he hit 10 HR's last year. 10 is good enough for me from the shortstop, especially with all the other big hitters in the line-up. The errors are to be expected, and it's not like it's a gong-show everytime time the ball is hit to short. I think Adams is fine.

finally chris, i can agree with someone on this shortstop debate. adams is a great shortstop now and for years on. i do agree however that hinske needs to sit down and rois needs to play everyday.

Adams was an impact player last night. Home run to tie and no micues in the field. Good Job!

Adams or not, I'd love to see the Jays with a true leadoff hitter!

i still get scared when i see a hard grounder out to shortstop. He is getting better, but I think its more of him needing to get better quickly than the jays finding a new shortstop.
