Tonight, the Orioles rallied in one inning and gained the lead after the Indians had a 4 run lead. What lead do you think is a safe lead for teams nowadays. Iwas thinking back at some of the other big combackers like some that the Indians had a few years ago. Does anyone know the biggest come-back-from-behind victory?

A couple of years ago, wasn't there a game where the Pirates were down 9-1, and down to their last strike, and came back to win?

Then there's always the scenario where the team is down 3 games to none in a seven game series, behind by a run in the 9th, and facing one of history's best closers. :D

I was at this game in 1989, Red Sox up 10-0 going into the 7th, lost 13-11 in 12.

I was at a Padres game last year when they were down 0-5 in the 9th and came back to win 8-5 in 12 innings. It's not nothing spectacular but I wanted to mention it cause it was a 9th inning comeback.

Didn't the Cardinals score around 10 runs in the 9th against the Reds last year?

I don't remember the opponent, but didn't Seattle once score about 15 runs in the 8th or 9th to win after having been down around 14-0 or something? This happened around 2000 is all that I can remember.

I wonder how the guys in the opposing bullpen must've felt. :D

It was the Indians in 2001 I believe.

Also in Cleveland, but in 1999, the Devil Rays were leading the Tribe 9-0, but the Indians bats erupted and the couldn't be contained, and beat the Rays 20-11.

It's amazing how exciting comeback games are. I remember a few years ago in 2004 the Braves were playing the Orioles and they were down 9-0 and came back and won 10-9. At the time the braves were under .500 for the season and it was July, the game sparked them and they ended up winning 94 games that year.

I remember I played an MVP Baseball game where I was down by 14 in the 9th and ending up winning in extras.

I remember back in their home opener (http://baseball-almanac.com/box-scores/boxscore.php?boxid=199804100BOS)back in 1998 Boston came from five runs down to score seven runs and win 9-7 against Seattle on a Mo Vaughn home run- with NO OUTS!!!

Who could forget that 20-11 come from behind win by New York last year after being down by double digits mid game...

The Lou Pinella Mariners blew alot of leads in the late 90's and the Indians of the Late 90's with Thome and Ramirez were a nightmare with any leads.

How about the Ryne Sandberg game. I've seen it on ESPN Classic before and I recorded it and everytime I watch it I can't do anything but smile. What a great game. our come from behind a few weeks ago at Wrigley against the CArds was pretty cool too.
