"bereavement list"

What's that?

It's a sort of a DL that was invented a couple of years ago.

It's used when either a has a death in the family or, if the team wants to make a mockery of the word bereavement and the player just has a sickness in the family.

I say make teams follow the rules. If they want to use the "bereavement" list for a sickness, make the person simulate death. Hold a mock wake and make the sick person sleep in a coffin for a little while.

Teams actually have used the bereavement list because a player had a sick child for a few days. That is an insult to everyone who actually had to bereave because of a child's death.

This would put an end to that.
