Can you name the players who have 200+ wins but never won 20-games? I can only think of 2 players.

Well who are they? Mike Mussina and David Wells immediately came to my mind.

Mike Mussina is one player who hasn't won 20 games yet.David Wells won 20 once.

I can think of 2 other players who won 200+ games but never won 20 games in a season.

Cy Young won 511 games without ever winning 20 in a season.

19 a couple of times and 21 a few, but never 20.

I remember when Milt Pappas won his 200th, it was such a huge scandal. people thought he didn't "deserve" to be a 200 game winner, as if that makes any sense, and he never topped 17 in a season.

He was the first.

Does this have something to do with the Hall of Fame?

Well, other than Mussina, I wouldn't support any of those pitchers for it.
Other than 200 wins becoming the new 300, I don't know.

Mike Mussina will probably be the first pitcher in history to win 250 games in his career without ever having a 20 win season.

He's got a pretty fair shot at winning 20 this season. (Though, of course, it's far too early to make any kind of reliable projection.)

Kenny Rogers will join this group with 7 more wins

All I want is for 280 career wins to "become the new 300". That way, my hero Bert Blylevin should finally make it thru that Cooperstown door.

And Erik Bedard has a fair shot at winning 30. ;) ;)

Speaking of 200-win pitchers...looks like David Wells may be calling it quits sooner rather than later.
