Former Expo will play for Dutch champion

Former Montreal Expos prospect Yuji Nerei will play for the Dutch champion Door Trading Neptunus from Rotterdam for the 2006 season.

Nerei signed a contract with the Expos in 2000. After one season with single A Cape Fear he went up to AA Harrisburg and AAA Ottawa.

After a crash with one of his teammates he suffered a concussion. When he needed an eye operation to improve his sight, he was released.

During the 2004 and 2005 seasons he tried to come back in some independent leagues.

I am not sure. Rotterdam is the closest city where I can watch Dutch Major League baseball. But Neptunus is not really my favorite team. So I don't know.

And since I am playing the game myself again (one day in the week end), the other day in the week end is for my kids.
