What do you do if after your first few pitches you dont realized you have your "best stuff." What should u do, just locate your pitches perfect, and don't miss your spots, or what?
Thanks

That's really the only thing you can do. If you're not overpowering, you gotta be crafty. Mix up your pitches well and keep the hitter guessing (pray he doesn't guess correctly!).

Well i rely heavily on my fastball, and when i dont have my best stuff, i seem to feel alot more hittable. Sometime i feel like im throwing big watermelons at them, batting practice style. I guess i could just try to throw more curves and cutters and throw the occasional fastball, with pinpoint location.

Fastball change up = best combination in baseball in my opinion

I agree with X. Use the stuff you trust most and try to outsmart the batter.

You'll know in the bullpen whether you have your best stuff or not.
If the velocity just isn't there, and your curve just isn't biting like it normally does, the best thing you can do is just get back to the basics. Get ahead early, hit your spots, and change speeds. If you're missing your spots, hopefully the changing of speeds will make that irrelevant and you'll still succeed. Go to your changeup more often, and use your curve as more of a "show me" pitch, rather than how you'd normally use it. Just cause it's not workin', you can't abandon it all together.
