Dodger Stadium has had only 17 rainouts since the ballpark open in 1962, and I'm trying to find info of the exact dates of these rainouts. But unfortunately there isn't much info other than this on the search engines:

April 19-21, 1988

April 11, 1999

April 17, 2000

Thanks.

Totals by month:
April: 9
May: 2
June: 0
July: 0
August: 2
September:4

The interesting part about the list is that there was only one rainout between 1962 and 1976. But then the floodgates opened after that. It seems as though 1/2 of them occurred between the two-year span between 1976 and 1978. Then you have three days in a row in April of '88, and then followed by that 11-year dry spell.

An additional four games were postponed in 1992, because of the Los Angeles Riots.

I had heard from my stepson that it has been rather wet over there (he lives near the foothills) but did not realise it may affect the games. Interesting that April is by far the most rained out month!

We more or less get all of our rain between November and April here in Los Angeles.

We have had months without any precipitation, even when we have hit our average rainfall of 15."

This year it seems it have had all the rain in March and April.

We had two close calls this year the Tuesday game against the Braves and this Friday.

November - 64.0
December - 57.9
January - 56.3
February - 59.1
March - 54.4
April- 58.7

Here are the average monthly temps since last November, taken at Pomona, ca, which is a suburb of Los Angeles.

As you can see March was the coldest month this "winter". April hasn't gotten much warmer.
