Well, the last two night both club played a home and home series and both games ended in ties. The Dodgers have had five ties this Spring. Maybe they'll apply to FIFA so they can continue to tie their ballgames. ;)

A great pitching dual between both staffs tonight frm the Big A. Last night, in the rain, the club played to a rain shortened 6-6 tie after the seventh inning. In the top of the 8th, the Angels actually scored a run, but since the Dodgers were unable to bat, the game reverted back to the end of the 7th and preserved the 6-6 tie.

Too bad the Angels announcers didn't know how baseball rules work. They went off the air on Friday saying how the Angels had won the game. :noidea

Yea, it's just as easy as listening to Vin Scully pronouncing Chone Figgins and Jeff Mathiss' names as "Chane Figgins" and "Jeff Mathieas" or "Mathers".

Give the old man a break. You seriously wouldn't defend the Angels announcers by using HOFer, Vin Scully. Try bashing Charlie Steiner and/or Rick Monday.

Oh, and Rex Hudler is horrible. Plain horrible. Must be that marijuana.

There comes a time when grandpa can no longer have the remote to the TV. Vinnie is not the same and will not get better. It was sad to hear Chick Hearn lose it as well before his unfortunate death. Vinnie was among the greatest announcers ever, but you must realize that is no longer the case. However, Vinnie today is much better than many MLB club announcers I have heard over the years. ;)

Can we all agree that although Vin is not the same as he was 30-40 years ago, he's STILL better than Steve Physioc and Rex Hudler combined?

Vin Scully has not "lost it". How come when a younger announcer makes a mistake it's overlooked, but when an older announcer does he's "lost it"? If you actually listened to Dodger broadcasts, you'd realise that Vin makes far fewer blunders than the other Dodger guys like Stiener and Monday.

And I've never once heard Vin Scully claim that the Dodgers won a game that they obviously didn't, like Rex and Steve did on Friday. Have they "lost it" too?

I personally like Physioc Rorri Marcus and Terri Smith. Rex Hudler sugar coats everything and he never sounds honest. He sounds like the announcer version of a beat writer.
