For SP Robinson Tejada and OF Jake Blalock.

This trade doesn't make any sense at all. Why would the Phillies trade a good pitcher for a starting OF when you already have Burrell, Rowand, and Abreu? Could Bobby be on his way out of Philly?

Im not sure about Abreu but if somebody goes , i wouldn't be surprised if it was Pat Burrell . The MLB.com article says that the Phillies acquired him because they needed a Left-Handed-Hitting OF .

Horrible freaking deal

Robinson Tejada has talent, they are counting on Floyd, Madsen, Hamels, Brito to succeed...that is not a high group of P's...you need depth in young pitching

Yet, we have Victorino, Robinson, Bourn, Kroeger for OF depth

Without him, the lineup is way too heavy on left handed bats - Utley, Howard, Abreu. you have to stick him in the middle to split these guys up or the lineup becomes too vulnerable. Not unless Delucci's happy being a bench player, or the institute some weird outfield rotation I can't figure this one out. I figured with ShanoVic the idea of getting a left handed outfielder was a moot point, but Gillick was apparently hell-bent on landing one for some reason.

I haven't seen Tejada enough to give an opinion, but Dellucci is a quality hitter. He draws enough walks to use near the top of the order and has plenty of pop for that park. You'll also have a quality DH for the interleague.
