I think Walker and Worrell will do an ok job replacing him. That said, Worrell looked bad today in the 7th (I think) against the A's. And with that said, Benitez looked terrible in the 8th. The way he's going, I would prefer him on the DL instead of blowing saves.

I haven't had a chance to see Merkin Valdez but I hear he's turned a corner in his development. What are the odds he comes in this season if Benitez spends a chunk of time on the DL? I like Worrell and I don't hate Walker but neither of them are closers...

I would love to see Valdez close. He closed for me on MVP Baseball last year and was dominant. Haha.

i am looking for alou to use several pitchers in the late innings during the time that benitez is on the shelf.
whoever gets the job done will get more calls than those who do not.
last season, alou's hand was forced a bit because the starters did not go deep into the game consistently. as go the starters, so go the pen.

He's my third closer. I have Billy Wagner and Francisco Cordero as well. :p Benitez is a fine closer when he is healthy. I hope the knee won't be a season long problem.
