What would be the All Time Mariners team, by position? Here's my opinions:

C- Dan Wilson
1B- John Olerud
2B- Brett Boone
3B- David Bell
SS- Omar Vizquel
LF- Raul Ibanez
CF- Ken Griffey Jr.
RF- Ichiro Suzuki
DH- Edgar Martinez

SP- Randy Johnson
SP- Mark Langston
SP- Freddy Garcia
SP- Jamie Moyer

RP- Arthur Rhodes
RP- Jeff Nelson

CL- Kaz Sasaki

It was tough choosing 1b (Tino Martinez and Richie Sexson..even though Richie's been there for only 1 season),
2B (Harold Reynolds, Joey Cora), SS (A-Rod wanted money if I used his name), RF (Buhner...enough said) and CF (Mike Cameron, but Griffey odviously had a better career in Seattle). Hopefully, Adrain Beltre will take over 3B in a few seasons. And, if I had to, I'd put Edgar Martinez at 3B, considering he only played a stint at that position. What's everyone elses opinions?

C Valle (Wilson wasn't that good...

Are you serious?

Wilson was much better defensively AND offensively - Valle's career BA is .237 - Wilson's BA is .262, and both have the same amount of power (if you can call what either of them had power), but Wilson still has a lead here, and Wilson was also better on the bases, both as a runner, and a base stealer. And Wilson is a much more beloved member of the Mariner's organization (though in truth due in part that he was a part of better Mariner's teams than Valle ('95, '97, '01).

Valle's career BA is .237

I remember one season where FX McRory's near the old Kingdome offered beers for Valle's batting average. Paying $2.05 for a brew there sure beat paying $6.50 for a king beer, and heck this was like 1992 or something like that... Back to catching, I'd put Bob Kearny or Scott Bradley over Valle, although Wilson is clearly the man.

C- Dan Wilson - this is our worst position, but Dan is clearly on top - (Dave Valle)
1B- Alvin Davis - he IS Mr. Mariner after all... (Olerud)
2B- Boone - could go either way with him or Reynolds, but Boone's Glove does it for me (Reynolds)
3B- Jim Presley - I hate to say he is our best, but... - I would go with Martinez if he wasn't at DH.
SS- A-Rod - enough said (Vizquel)
LF- Jay Buhner - have to stick him somewhere (Raul Ibanez)
CF- Ken Griffey Jr. - no one will ever be close here - (Mike Cameron)
RF- Ichiro Suzuki - the bat, the glove, the speed, no comparison
DH- Edgar Martinez - he IS the Mariner's (was anyways :) )

SP- Randy Johnson
SP- Mark Langston
SP- Freddy Garcia
SP- Jamie Moyer

RP- Arthur Rhodes
RP- Jeff Nelson

CL- Kaz Sasaki

SS- Omar Vizquel

You may not like the guy, but A-Rod is a million light years ahead of Vizquel - put aside your differences and go with the right one.

Looks good, except for a couple things.

1.) Rickey Henderson only played 92 games for the Mariner's, which isn't really enough to put him on the all-time team, especially since he only hit .238, and Cameron should be the backup for Griffey, since he was both better with the bat (though that may change), and with the glove (though Reed is quite good himself).
