Are the D'Backs trying to trade Tony Clark? He doesn't sem to have a place on your team with the emergence of Conor Jackson. I'm a Baltimore Oriole fan, and I'm wondering, does a Javy Lopez for Clark trade work for you?

I think Conor Jackson will be back up for Clark. Jackson hasn't been doing well during Spring Training, despite 2 home runs. Tony Clark will be the starting first baseman, and Conor Jackson probably will back him up. And Arizona already has too many catchers, so the Javy Lopez for Clark trade won't really benefit any team. (Baltimore has way too many first basemen, and Arizona has too many catchers)

I'm pretty sure that Jackson was named the starting 1B, desite Clark having a better spring (and not to mention the year he had last season). Regardless, Clark will get a solid amount of ABs...I don't think that this trade would work since Javy really isn't a catcher anymore, his contract is more than Clark's, and it would defeat the purpose of naming the D-Back's big prospect the starting 1B.

Last year Clark, at age 33, had a season all out of proportion with what he had done in the previous 10 seasons. I mean he has had some good seasons in his career, but last year in just 350 AB's he threw up some monster numbers. The D'Backs can just dream that he will approach that level of productivity again.

I did the math and in a regular season of 500 ab's he could've hit 43 homers and 125 rbis, along with his .304 batting average he would've been in the top 5 mvp voting!!!

No.

No point.

Jackson can handle it.
Estrada is catcher.

If I were the D'Backs, I'd keep him around. He's a good pinch hitter and they still need insurance in case a young player like Jackson starts to struggle.

I say trade him to an American League team when his contract expires, so he can be a DH. Or let him stay with the DBacks and give him fair time between him and Conner Jackson.
