What happened to Jaime Brewington?

What happened to this guy? I remember when he debuted for the Giants in 1995. Then he vanished for five years, played for the Indians in 2000, then vanished again. Did he get hurt after 1995?

All I know is that he was in the minors 1996 to 1999.Then he was released by cleavland in 2000 and either didnt want to re-sign with a team or couldnt get a contract. but the reason for his retirment, I dont know. He may have been de-railed by injuries but I think that he just couldnt get the call up to the majors. But dont take my word on it because im not very sure.
