Senators Team Roster in 69 & 70 HELP!!!

Hello to all, We have a team signed ball from either 69 or 70 and are trying to match the names (25) on the ball to the correct year.

Does anyone have the roster for each of the years? Would also like to know what position they played.:confused:

Some of the names are:
Ted Williams, manager(sweet spot)
Joe French, Bernie Allen, Frank Howard, Sid Hudson, Camilo P-??, Joe Coleman, Casey Cox, Rich Billings, Ed Brinkman, Dave Baldwin, Sid Hudson, Brant Alyla, Del U-???, Dick Bosman, Joe French, Tom Cullen?, Ken McMullen, Mike Epstein and others we can not read.

We are trying to place a value on this baseball, any suggestions where we can get an estimate.

My husband was given this ball by a girl who worked for him. She was engaged to Dick Bosman. It is in really good conditon, kept in a plastic case. Any help is appreciated. ;)

Retdon-I believe your baseball would have to be from the early part of the 1969 season. The telling signature is that of Camilo Pascual-he started the 1969 season with the Senators but was purchased by the Cincinnatti Reds on July 7th of that year. In 1970 he was with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

A couple of corrections to the names listed:

Jim French
Del Unser
Tim Cullen

BTW-while I'm afraid I'm of no assistance in determining the value of the ball, it is worth noting that the 1969 Senators team was the first team to be managed by Ted Williams and finished with a record of 86-76-the only winning record established by the expansion Senators between 1961 and 1971 when they departed for Texas.

I can't put a value on it, but it's not going to be worth a fortune.

I should qualify that.

I've picked up some pretty good team signed balls, the most noteworthy probably being a 1975 Reds team signed ball.

I paid $700 dollars for it.

That's a decent value for a ball like that. I've seen them go for upwards of $2000.

I could be wrong, but I can't imagine a 1969 Senators ball going for anywhere near what I paid for mine.

I neglected to mention in my previous post that Sid Hudson was a coach-he played from 1940-1952 with the original Washington Senators and the Boston Red Sox for his last two years (1953-1954) in the major leagues.

Thanks for all your help, we will probably sell the ball when we can get an idea of the value. Yea, we figured out that Sid was a coach when I found one of his cards with his playing years on it. Thanks again, any other info will be appreciated. retdon
