Assuming that this story has legs what will or should Commish Selig do this year. (If untrue, Barry could end up owning the book publisher so I am assuming that this is a heavily documented story)

My prediction is that Barry bags it early and departs the scene.
Why?

1) Negative publicity will be too great for either Barry or MLB and in fact become counterproductive for all parties.

2) Barry may have legal woes (IRS) that will take up his time. Let's not forget what happened to Rose for not reporting his earnings from tradeshows. The IRS takes a very dim view of hiding reportable income and salivates at a chance to get a high profile tax cheat.

I also believe that Mr. Bonds will have a certain DA knocking on his door again about possible perjury charges.

It depends on what Barry we get. The defiant "Id don't care what you think" Barry or the defeated "I'm just tired" Barry. I guess it just depends on which hormones are the most out of whack.

Don't forget, a BB or IBB isn't an AB, and he never got within sniffing range of 200 BB before 2001.
