I am really annoyed with MLB_TV.
I had it last year, and I don't think I want it again, BUT have any of you tried to cancel your subscription? I didn't think I had to cancel it since I just paid for it for last year, but I received an e-mail from them saying that they will automatically charge my credit card for it "in the middle of the month" unless I cancel it. Of course the e-mail doesn't say how to cancel it. I sent an e-mail to customer service and didn't get any response. Their website doesn't mention any way of canceling your subscription. If you go to account services you only are offered information about how to upgrade your account. I finally found a phone number you have to call 1-866-800-1275 if you want to cancel. THis phone number was buried in the long legal disclaimer that no one ever reads!! Of course, that has to be done during normal business hours..:grouchy :grouchy
This is a real pain to do. If I were you and considering MLB_TV I would stay away.

I've run into the same problem. Thanks for putting that phone number up cause I didn't know that's how you had to cancel. I've been waiting for a response back from the email I sent to customer service. I guess I'll stop waiting.
I was thinking about cancelling my mlb.tv subscription and getting one for mlb radio. Anyone have any feedback on the radio service provided by mlb.com?

I wouldn't sign up long-term, game by game (1.99$ per game)

I always sign up on a montly basis...its about 14.95 per month and you get all the games, with the exception of the nationally televised games...and the team in your local area gets blocked.
I have never had a problem cancelling and I have done it the past two seasons.
Once the season is over. Couple days later just call the toll free number and just cancel it...and you won't be charged 4.95 during off-season per month.
Its quite simple...i think its awesome to be able to watch all the games, and you have access to all the archived games.

I don't have cable, and only have dialup. If you have problems with any service paid for by your credit card, just call the credit card and tell them you did not order the service, or they left no way to cancel.
I ordered an updated Norton product online. It would not download corrrectly. I didn't bother with the time consuming process the website described; I got a credit, no questions asked, even though Norton headquarters is more than 50 miles from my home. No paperwork, just the one phone call.
If I have only 56K dialup, would MLB be worth it?

I seriously doubt it'd be worth the trouble, CB. If you have trouble downloading audio files or even video clips, it'd be nothing but infuriating to try to watch live video. Better just turn on 'EEI and listen to Cat and Troupie, and envision the game in your head.
Are you and I the only people on here with 56K dial-ups?

MLB.tv on dial up = a NO NO.
No way can you watch the games on a dial up connection...its virtually impossible.

Thanks for posting this. I subscribed in the middle of last season. I remember getting an email about resubscribing again or something a long those lines. I can't find it anymore though. But i'm glad you brought this up cause I'll keep an eye out. Does anybody know if you tell your bank about this if they can freeze any transactions that the company may try and do?

I told BigLou about his signature and how it was slowing down my computer. I had to block his posts which I don't like doing because I like to see what everyone says on any given issue. Hopefully he's listening and understands this forum is about substance, not flash.

I didn't realize it would be such a problem...I told you to block me. But then I realized what a problem it was when some others contacted me. I then obliged and left a single non-animated image on there.
Let me know if that is ok...

I replied in the email I got from them saying it would continue this season and they would charge me. I emailed them back and told them if they charged me I would never again buy anything from there site. It took about 5 days but I finally got a reply and they said they cancelled the subscription renewel. So maybe you just have to reply to the email instead of calling.
