There has been a lot of rumors of Williamson possibly being one of the odd men out in the BP situation...now this
Scott Williamson said yesterday that he wouldn't mind being traded to a team where he could be a closer.
He probably needs to stay healthy for more than a few weeks at a time first, but it sounds like the Cubs are willing to part with him before Opening Day. Mar. 1 - 8:34 am et
While I don't see him being traded, i think he could be a useful trading piece in mid-season if someone is hurt/underperforming...I also wouldn't mind keeping him as a backup for dempster if he struggles...if williamson is back to healthy this year than think of a BP situation with
