Fantasy team help...Baldelli vs. Bradley

Hey all, for the life of me I can't figure out which guy to pick up as a fourth outfielder for my fantasy team. Both guys are available as free agents so I could pick one of the up by dropping Kenny Lofton.

My question is which guy to get Rocco Baldelli? gone all last year with injuries
or Milton Bradley? better eye, more experience, similar potential

If you think it is worth it I could probably make room for both of them, but it would be easily to pick up one. I could use the steals but to me both have potential for about the same.

I just don't know which guy to pick up and this place is about the best place I know of for baseball knowledge. Anyways any advise you can give would be greatly appriecated.

As a fourth outfielder, I would pick up Baldelli.

Yeah, gotta say I would go with Baldelli as well. Number wise its pretty much a draw, but you never know when Bradley might lose it and get himself suspended, or decide he doesnt want to play there anymore, or take a month off to go invent a new board game. ;)

Baldelli is still not 100%, and he never did put together a solid season when he was healthy. I'd take Bradley over if him if it was my choice.

In two seasons, I see two .280+ BA, some steals, and solid extra base numbers. His BB/K ratio is pretty bad, but other than that, how hasn't he been solid?

The upside on Baldelli is so much better than that of Bradley, for a fourth outfielder, particularly.

Yeah, but Bradley strikes out more often.

In 1155 career at bats, Baldelli has struck out 216 times, about 19%

In 1893 career at bats, Bradley has struck out 398 times, about 21%.

Baldelli's career rate stats are .285/.326/.425 compared to Bradley's
.269/.350/.426. Bradley obviously walks more, a plus, but Baldelli's average is substantially higher.

I think if these were the two choices, you'd have to give Baldelli a hard look, especially when you figure in Bradley's attitude.

Plus, Baldelli is a Rhode Islander, and we're a cool bunch! :D

Thanks for the advice all. So far I think I'm on the right track to get my team in better shape. I've got some fairly good trade bait going and I think I stand a better chance then I did. But we'll see.

My other team is much better off to start, but its normally pretty fun working up deals with a team you know is already in bad shape.

I'll probably go with Baldelli after I get some trade's cleared out.
