Manager Ozzie Guillen announced that Jose Contreras will start the Cactus League Opener against the Colrado rockies on Wednesday afternoon,with Jon Garland relieving Contreras later on.

Rookie lefthander Charles Haeger will start on Thursday,with Mark buehrle starting Friday's game vs. Arizona.

Brandon McCarthy will get the nod Saturday against the D-backs with Haeger reliving McCarthy later in the game.

Buehrle,McCarthy,Garland,reliever Neal Cotts,and closer Bobby Jenks will get some quality mound time in an inter-squad game on Monday.

how does everyone feel about Charles Haeger? from what I've heard of him, he sounds very promising. Also, what about Lance Broadway? Is he gonna get a lot of playing time this spring?

Haeger and Broadway will see plenty of mound time this spring.Neither will make the parent club this year.Haeger is expected to start the season in AAA Charlotte.

Also,former Sox knuckler Charlie Hough will be an instructor in camp this spring.
