Let's vote for the top three at each position. Vote #1 and #2 and #3.
#1- 3 points
#2- 2 points
#3- 1 point
For a player to qualify they must have played for the Giants at least five years. I'll give a week for this poll.
The Giants haven't had many great catchers:
1. Tom Haller
2. Bob Brenly
3. Kirk Manwaring

What's up with Dietz's 1970 season? A 153 OPS+ from a catcher! Is he related to Norm Cash? :laugh

i'm with you on the catcher's spot, wags:
1: tom haller
2: bob brenly
3: kirk manwaring
The Giants franchise in its totality hasn't had much in the way of catchers, except Buck Ewing and Roger Bresnahan, who were from so long ago I don't have much faith in their dominance.

I could possibly go with Haller. The best--Chief Meyers, Roger Bresnahan & Shanty Hogan--were all w/ New York. I like Manwaring & Dietz, but Haller is the only one who was steady over a period of time. If I have to give 3:
Haller
Dietz
Manwaring

Brian Johnson (just for his season for the Giants in 97)
Manwering
Brenly
And Benito had a couple of good seasons for the Giants too.
