The Daily News reports that both OF Tike Redman and minor league OF Angel Pagan have been designated for assignment to make room on the 40 man roster for minor league P John Maine and P Yusaku Iriki. Pagan was traded for cash considerations to the Cubs.

he wasnt traded the cubs picked up his contract
