I'm planning a trip to the California parks this summer. Does anyone have any recommendations for moderately-priced seats with a great view? (For example, at Jacobs Field, it would be the bleachers, provided you can get near the left-field foul pole and close down, not row YY). Are there any tickets where you're only allowed to enter certain gates and only go in certain sections of the park? Thanks (Why no ticket prices on the mlb site yet?)

Upper View seats are pretty good for $12 last year's prices and those are pretty good seats, for the money. Conisdering it is upper deck, you don't feel like you are in a different area code at the Big A, which is a rather intimate ballpark, considering the era n which it was built (Chavez Ravine, RFK, Shea, Oakland) and you are rather close to the field.

Right Field seats were also $12 lastseason and the left field family area, was $9 for adults, and that is right behind the bullpens. Check out www.laangels.com for a chart, but the prices are not on the website yet.

"View" is upper view. I guess they dropped the "upper" a couple of year ago. It is the same level, the difference is you go up after you go through the tunnel and lower view go go down. ;)

I've always enjoyed the View Level seats at Anaheim Stadium, as long as you're not too far down the lines. Unlike most modern (1991-present) ballparks, Anaheim Stadium was designed with extended cantilever decks giving the mezzanine and upper decks great sightlines.

The LF Family section looks like it's pushed back way beyond the outfield wall - I'd stay away from those old Rams endzone seats if I were you.

The LF Family section looks like it's pushed back way beyond the outfield wall - I'd stay away from those old Rams endzone seats if I were you.

Those seat the kids and I enjoy. In the early 1980s, the players in the bullpen used to sit in thise seat to watch the game since that bullpen was a bit cramped. You can see both bullpens and before the games, kids try to get autographs, there.

Here's another question. As you're facing towards home plate, what exactly is to the immediate right of section 240 and to the immediate left of section 257, is it tarped off? Thanks

It's just empty spaces in those areas painted green - no tarp because there's no seats, just sloping areas where seats USED to be for the Rams. It reminds me of a minature golf setting for some reason with the slope, the bright-green color it's painted and the flags that pop up out of the slope to the left of sec. 257. They should plant real grass on it like they do in Arlington and St. Louis - it wouldn't look so tacky that way.

Yes, they can go after the ball, however, they'll probably wind up spending the rest of the afternoon getting booked in the Anaheim city jail. :ughh Or at least kicked out of the stadium.
