This one might be easy. There has been a surge of RH AL batting champs. But who were the last two before Kirby Puckett? No season restrictions.

Do switch hitter count?

Bill Madlock and Carny Lansford come to mind.

I was thinking Madlock too

Forgot about Lansford - who knows.

If switch hitter count (well they do hit right handed sometimes), then I was thinking Willie Wilson.

I forgot to edit the "two for one." Al Oliver being the first with 200 H and 100 RBI was bogus. I didn't think straight for a few minutes.

Lansford is one. And that changed things, what I heard had implied an exclusion of 1981. Well, I guess it is still sort of "two for one."

No, no switch-hitters. Madlock didn't play a full AL season (one of 21 games).

The other one is Alex Johnson in 1970. Then for 20 years it was dominated by Carew, Boggs, and the Royals.
