"which player has had the best individual season of this generation?" is easily answered: barry bonds.
of this there is no debate.
but who - not named bonds - owns the best individual san francisco giants season of this generation?
the above four, i think, are the only ones that can be considered for this question.
if there is someone who you would like to add to the poll, please jump in so that he can be added.

WCOB,
Not to be nit-picky but a "generation" is roughy 13 years so only Kent's season is within "this" generation. ;)

I'd personally go with Bonds, Kent, Mitchell, Clark
Bonds was 1 HR from a 40-40 that year, played GG caliber OF defense, he was a great force out there. He had power, could run, good defense, all you could ask for.
Then I'd go with Kent. He put up good power, .nearly a 300/.400/.600 stat line, was decent on the bases, all while at second base, and he won the MVP
Mitchell - put up a league leading 47 HR's, and led in Slg, OPS, OPS+, TB, RBI, RC, and XBH - he just powers his way past clark for me - oh, and he won the MVP
Clark - how many Win Shares did he win? 40? 44? That has to count for something. He had good power, .300/.400/.500, 100+ Runs and RBI, but wasn't that great on the bases, and the only thing he led in was TOB. Mitchell stole all of his Black ink that year. He may come in last here, but he still had a great season, and overall, is better than Mitchell.

wags, i based the span on the premise that a generation is the average length of time between the birth of parents and the birth of their offspring - 30 years.
1970-2005 is only 5 years added to that 30.
