Since saturday, the Canadiens have a coaching staff formed exclusively of team alumnis. That got me thinking. Wich Expo alumni (s) would you have liked to see on the coaching staff for the last few seasons of the club?

My first choice would have been Wallach. I mentionned in the past that Eli is my second favorite Expo of all times, behind Vlad. I would have loved to have him around the team for the last few seasons. Then again, at that point, the club needed as much help on the PR front, as they needed in the dugout. So, considering Wallach's low key personality, he wouldn't have been much help. Tim Raines would have been a better ambassador for the club. So I went with Raines. But why not Wallach AND Raines? Maybe I should have added that option in my poll... ah, it is what it is. Carter? I don't think he would have been interested by a coaching position with the Expos. Maybe right after he retired, but if he had been approched say when Frankie came on board, he would have probably said no.
By the way, I know I misspelled coaching in the poll question. But I don't know how to fix it.

Last summer I saw Larry Parrish manage a AAA game in Ottawa. If I remember correctly he was managing the Toledo Mud Hens. So he probably has some good experience. I agree with Raines. He would have been a great 1st base caoch. Look what he did in Chicago. Carter's just been promoted in the Mets system.
I think Joey Eishchen and Brian Schneider could make good coaches one day.
