Marquis inks deal

Well the Cards have signed Marquis. Anyone think this was a good deal after his problems last year. The following is from the Cards web site.

-The Cardinals and right-handed pitcher Jason Marquis avoided arbitration on Tuesday by agreeing to terms on a one-year contract worth a reported $5.15million plus incentives. Marquis was the club's last remaining arbitration-eligible player.-*

Overpaid, judging by last year's slump.

Yah, he's not very good.
I'll have to disagree with that. But, he is overpaid. He really doesn't deserve that much money for one year, the Cards produce good pitchers every year and seeing Marquis walk wouldn't hurt one bit.
