Hey, thanks! Did you do all of this yourself?

It goes to show that A-Rod is the man of the decade (or at least the 1st half of it). And Ichiro would be leading in Hits, but he's only played in 5 of the 6 seasons here, and would be 2nd in SB's as well.

I did it with the Lahman latest database. Formatting it on an Excel sheet was MUCH longer than setting up the queries with Access. Thanks for the compliment.

I guess you felt confident enough in the data regardless of the missing data to create your lists. I've uploaded, but considering the work I put into it, I don't feel confident that all the lists I would have made would be 100% correct. (I spend about 100 hours updating/creating organized lists. Lengthy, but most people consider the product very impressive.) I just wish Sean Lahman would get back to me.

I'd have to disagree. Barry has outplayed him statistically even with a measly 14-game 2005 to his credit.

I know Ichiro would led by plenty since 2001 in hits, but it's cool to show him almost leading with 5 seasons' worth.

Hello guys!

Let's not forget that season 2000 to 2005 actually cover six seasons (2000-2001-2002-2003-2004-2005).

Regarding the number of hits starting from 2001 instead of 2000, the previous post is right : Ichiro Suzki has 1130, a long way before Albert Pujols' 982.

Because he used steroids. If you take them out of the picture, then A-rod is clearly ahead.
