Are there any books out here that talk about WHY baseball is the greatest game ever. I know there are millions of good baseball books but I would to know if theer any that really talk about the reasons baseball is so much fun.

Thanks.

You might want to try some of the autobiographies of players who saw the humor side of the game. "Baseball is a Funny Game" by Joe Garagiola deals a lot with the joys of being a baseball player, and how fun it was for him. It's not exactly a book with a lot of bile in it, (sanitized, if you will) but it shows a lot of human aspects of ball players, such as who reads comic books and how layers in Garagiola's era were referred to in less than politically-correct terms in the dugout. (As someone of Italian heritage, Garagiola heard about it a lot. Even as he was told he was being traded, they still were calling him a less than kind term.)
