its not a rumour or anything, just listed the jays as a team that might be interested. its not all that impossible considering riccardi's relationship with beane. now if they lose out on the burnett sweepstakes, would riccardi try to get zito? he only has a year left on his contract (8.5 mil) and he would only go after him if they could work out an extension with him. it would be interesting to see if they would chase him or not. but again, this isnt a rumor, just looking around and saw it and thought i might post it.

I'd take Zito over Burnett any day. What scares me is what they'd have to give up to get him.

your right, zito is a way better investment, no arm troubles or causing trouble but beane usually wants a good prospect or two. he wont come cheap thats for sure.

If you guys don't get Burnett, Matt Morris is there to suffice. He would be a great addition to the Jays bullpen, but then again, it's your opinion.

He has not bitched like he did 3 years ago. His numbers have dropped far since he was apart of the mark Mulder Tim Hudson Barry Zito trio. Players no that your going to get curve ball after curve ball and try to follow them of and wait and kill his fast ball. I used to love zito but now im not overly impressed with him.
